Hood hinges
I'm looking for hood hinges to replace the rod for my 2007 GT/CS. Can't find any on line or in magazines, anybody have any good tips where to look? I took my Mustang out to the dragstrip during a Falcon Club all Ford event. I only had 500 miles on it, so I took it easy. It ran in the low 14.60's, 98 mph in the quater, and that was with a lot of tire spinning. I used to race a '64 Fairlane 26 years ago (while 4 months pregnant), man did that bring back memories....and Yes, I am a older female...so?
So, I'm not gonna go there...but check this link out for the hood shocks...

Here's another option if you like. I love these. 20 minute mod, never go back....

I personally think the MRT Hood Strut setup is superior to the Redlines. Reason being is the Redlines stick way out into the fender area making it a PITA to get at and work in the engine bay. The MRT Struts are at the very rear and provide zero interference. Get them from MRT and get the Black Powder Coated ones. The Raw Stainless ones look like crap.

How do those CDCs from Brenspeed compare with the Steedas? The description on the Steeda site (relief channel for washer tube, rubber to protect the paint) makes them sound better in everyday function. Just marketing, or -?

They are the exact same ones. Trust me when i tell you to get the Black Powder coated ones that i posted the link to. The RAW Stainless that they come in is FUGLY as hell. I had mine chromed before installing them that's how bad they looked.
The CDC, Steeda and MRT are all identical.
Here is a picture of mine after chroming.
