Default S197 Shelby GT 350 tribute car coming soon

I know, I know, You are a poser....your too broke to buy the real one...I get it, its not for everyone....well I am just about finished with converting my 05 Mustang GT to a tribute to not just the year I was born but also a car my dad used to take us kids to the Dover Dragstrip years ago. 1968 Shelby GT350. I made a few minor modern day adjustments, but it truly is to be a tribute to my dad and his days...When it is complete and my last parts are installed, i will post pics....I just figured I would start taking my lumps from all the mustang enthusiasts who think this is wrong. Again, this is about a tribute to a great dad, birth year and a fine auto. PICS COMING SOON.....BY THE WAY, for the record, I am not too broke to buy one, just as others have stated WHY? when with mods and adjustments you can build one cheaper.....and better. JMO

Nothing wrong with tribute cars, unless they look like complete crap.

Don't worry about what everyone here is going to think about what you do to your car. Everyone has an opinion, and a sense of style and taste. I put the SS centermount foglight grille and a GEFRacing Legend rear spoiler on... so, some people might think the spoiler is too tall, and the centermounts look stupid. So -- that's their opinion. Fine. I may not like the hood pins on their ride. So? It's their ride.

Best of luck with your tribute! Sounds like it's a tribute to something worthwhile!

Your car...your rules. If someone doesn't like it, their problem. As long as your happy, it's the perfect car (in your eyes). Can't wait to see some pictures.

I think it all comes down to intent and execution.

If you aren't purposely trying to fool someone but merely intending it to be a tribute car I don't see why anyone would diss you.

As long as it is done well...

But, if you are trying to fool someone into thinking you have something you don't... well, then I say flame on!
