According to Hot rod magazine that list is way off.. The 2 fastest cars pre 2000 they ever tested were a 1969 yenko camaro and a 1968 mustang 428 cj side oiler. i also see some other cars are a bit off.. no hemi ever ran sub 11 from the factory in any car ever, acording to mopar records.

Just a little info:
In 1968, Dodge released one of the most feared drag cars ever: the 1968 Hurst Hemi Dart. Dodge would ship Dart body shells to Hurst and they would install a ram-inducted 426 in³ (7.0 L) Hemi V8 under the hood. Using fiberglass fenders and hood, belt straps for window cranks, and A100 seats for decreased weight, this car and its sister car, the Hurst Hemi Barracuda, would dominate Super Stock for decades to come; in fact, it still does today

Not trying to be a jag but you are wrong. 68' Hemi Dart & Barracudas ran 10's stock.

If I can get ahold of my brother who works for dodge as a region rep I will have him send me the factory data on every hemi ever sold and it will show none ever going faster then low 11's out the box.

If you read the disclaimer at the top it says:
"Accurate? Not necessarily. That largely depends on possibly hundreds of factors that need to be taken into account during testing, including weather, altitude, drivers, traction, etc."
I know for a fact the record for a stock (including OEM tires) 1993 Viper RT is 11.4. Hell, I ran a 12.2 on mine the very first run - unframilar car, on unframilar track, at Englishtown on a 98d day in July.
Looks like someone consolidated the numbers from Motor (GM is our sugerdaddy) Trend articles.

What's funny is the only late model F-body in the 12's is an LS-1 Firehawk that sneaked in with 12.99, there's 3 late model Mustangs. The '00 Cobra R, the '03 Cobra(both 12.9's) and the GT500(12.7). I realize this list is just that, SOMEONE'S list. The two
drag-only Mopars is a joke, that drag tired '06 ZO6 that ran 10.8's is highly suspicious(the video is murky and doesn't show the car crossing the finish line). The Veyron 16.4, well at a 1000HP it should be up there, so I guess that leaves the Saleen S7 twin-turbo as the fastest AVAILABLE car in the world. That Saleen's 427 V-8 is Ford derived architecture(small block Windsor)......First On Race Day?
