NAV SYSTEM 07 MUSTANG
I've done a Ford Nav Radio w/6 cd changer. Used the nav antenna from a 2006 Freestyle, this fits just under the dash, fixed to bottom of the top of the dash, right up against the vinyl using double back sticky foam tape. I used a Ford Nav radio from a 2006 Explorer, got it bargin sale from repair shop online, ordered for customer, whom didn't pick it up. Uses touch screen and made by Pioneer for ford in 2006, supposed to offered as an option on the 2007 mustang. Fits just like the shaker 500 radio/6 cd radio, no changes to wiring harness. Sounds much better too. The only problem, for the Nav radio to function with the aux imput, speed volume control, auto-dim and back lights on the buttons, radio needs to be programed to car's vin. But the programing tool used by ford service techs does not list this radio/vehicle comb. So, I called Broadway radio here in Kansas City, they do all the radio and electronics warrenty work for ford here in kansas city, they did a little research and found that the radio can be programed to my mustang's vin, just have to send it to repair depot with my mustangs vin, $150 dollars. THis is a 2grand radio option, and I paid less than $400 so far, wanted to keep the interior ford and save some money.

Wow - great job on the Icom 706 mounting. The first ham radio I have seen in a stang. What antenna did you use, some type of trunk lip mount? Are you running HF? Post a pic please!

awesome job on the FORD nav system....good deal and it looks stock. How is that AVIC nav? were you able to bypass the DVD functions?

There are several ways to do it that you can discuss here, it depends on the build dates of the unit:

I have not yet done it myself but I have been meaning to get around to it, probably over the winter.
