Yes I have read all his posts. No he isn't overly positive about his car, yes he types in caps. But name calling? What did I miss for you to resort to this? So what if it appears he's had his car for a while and just became a MF member. Not everyone surfs the web looking for forums. My wife drive a new convertible Mustang and wouldn't get on a forum like this for anything! Yes he's lacking forum ediquet (sp) (lol me too appearently!) Maybe his throttle sticking as the final straw before he seeks info. Yes maybe he's troll!

I think on other posts you have been told that the floor mats may have caused this. It has happened to me too. Make sure that the bottom of your accerator petal CAN NOT get caught behind the most forward edge of your floor mat! It CAN happen!

It's probably the mat but more than likely your foot.

 

I had this happen with my '06 GT. I had some Weather Tech mats in and the bottom of the gas pedal wedged against the mat. After the third time, I got rid of the mats and got a set of Ford Mustang winter mats-problem solved.

A buddy of mine with a new Shelby GT500 (I drove it-I don't have words...) was accelerating down an on ramp and his pedal stuck. He said THAT was a real scare, he said he was getting into the boost when he noticed he was closing on a car real quick. I think he just lifted the pedal with his toe and got it under control. He did't tell me what the problem was, but I can't imagine a beast like THAT out of control.

 

oh yea thats dangerous, seems ford hasnt fixed the problem has let them use gt500 the same way, i tell u theres goin to be some major accidents soon like that, i feel sorry for them ppl who dont know how to control this, or if it happens on the turn, or in the snow, thats it !

 

The carpet in these are trimmed mighty short, instead of going up the firewall they stop right where they could hook the pedal. Stupid Ford bean counters trying to save a 50 cents per car by shorting the customer on carpeting.
