Default wms cai?

Has anyone seen this or is using one of the CAI's from Western Motorsports?

They say you do not need a tune and the air is a straight shot in, no turns like most CAI's

I personally don't care for it. It is a more involved installation that most CAIs, and requires cutting and splicing wires to do it. Furthermore, magazine reports are putting it in the middle of the pack as far as performance goes. Some of the big name "turned" CAIs like the C&L and the JLT are easier to install and they make more HP.

I would buy either the C&L or the JLT. Those consistently come out the best in the magazine reviews.

^^^what Al said^^^

Personally, I think it makes the engine compartment look like a late model Trans Am. I know of a couple of people using them, and even one using it with a Saleen blower. But they don't really do anything for me.

You will need a tune. What I mean by that is the engine will run lean..........maybe not lean enough to throw a CEL but lean to a point that performance A/F will not be optimized. The GT likes to run with an A/F between 12.8 - 13.2 A/F.

Its a hell of an intake man. Looks factory.[sm=exactly.gif]
