But is yours 2-3 seconds? I'm patient enough to wait but it seems excessively long.

Yes, it is 2 seconds at the most... if I step on the gas during the gear change, it will spin the tires.. I will buy a tuner to up the shift pressure... this should correct the problem...

Skoshi, how do you change things like that (shift pressure)? I have the SCT and when I look through it to change things, there like 10, maybe 12 different parameters and theyre the basic things like speedometer limit etc.. I cant figure out how to find the more complex stuff.

I have a 2006 GT - 6 months. No problems. You might want to check the auto trans fluid level.
This is somewhat odd but How do you Check or Change the Fluid in the auto trans????
I can't find a DipStick anywhere.

The car has to be put on a lift and it has to be checked. It has a special plug with a plug inside the plug essentially. No dipstick.

That would be the machanical parking pawl disengaging, you must be parking on some kind of incline in either direction, it is normal, but if you want to avoid it use the e-brake

I've got a 2006GT auto... no delay engaging; however I do get a semi-loud metallic clunk when shifting in/out of Park

This happens in my garage...perfectly level, and I always use the e-brake....
