Default fuse?

Is there a fuse you can pull to disable the e-brake dinging sound? I have the alpine w200 dvd player, and while I would not watch it while i'm driving, my passenger would. I heard if you pull the e-brake barely up before it clicks you can still drive and play the dvd player. It just has the bell that rings over and over to let you know you have the e-brake on. Is theer a simple fuse to pull to get rid of that?

Default RE: fuse?

No. A module looks for the signal from the ebrake switch and then activates the chime. Disconnect the switch or deal with it. BTW, I don't know what effects you may have if the switch is disconnected. Likely the default will be to illuminate the BRAKE light but the chime will likely not continuously be on. You may have to bypass the input to the DVD player in order to get it to work with the brake switch disconnected. You may want to either call the installer and ask what your options are, or see how the player is wired to the switch and come up with your own method.
