Yeah I saw something about this in an earlier post a few days ago but didn't say anything... I'm not a fan of this idea at all... If that want to make a sedan or station wagon with some muscle thats fine. But why not use a different name. Bringing back the Torino name comes to mind.

I think that ford is smoking crack or something because that thing is nasty. I dont like the whole idea of calling it a mustang - new name and new look would nice. That's one mustang I'll never buy.

What he hell is going on at ford. This is the stupidest idea I have seen them come up with yet. I can see them bring bac the fairlae this way but not the mustang. If they bring back the fairlane it shouldn't look like a mustang either. Talk about ruining the mustang name. Who ever brainstormed tis needs to be fired. Is ford really this cut off from reality?

If the Mustang is ever for the Soccer mom crowd I'm out[sm=gears.gif]. I'd cry if I pulled up at the light to see a "Mustang Wagon" filled with brats going to their ballet recital. I'd sell my car that day[:'(]

If you think that article is disturbing, here's something I came across in Hemmings Muscle Machines an issue or two back:
GT500s should NEVER, EVER, EVER be made into a 4 door station wagon thing.

I look at it and think, "Wow...If a Honda Civic hatchback and a Mustang were to breed, this is a possible result...Sorry, Jim, it just doesn't mix.
