I need to go back into the car painting business I'm selling my time way too cheap! Are you kidding me! These painters are making a killing on striping cars.

mygt500: Very, very nice. You typically get what you pay for; awesome ride you have there.

A dealer doing them for under $1500 is a mistake. They aren't custom painters and surely aren't putting clear over the stripes so you'll have raised edges and edges not of the quality of a custom paint shop. You are better off spending the extra 1000 and getting them done right; othewise just go with vinyl and see if you even like having stripes.

Actually I did talk with the paint shop guy about it.. They did include prepping the surface and reclearing it. I have seen the paint work they do and its actually better then alot of the custom shops I have seen. They are a very performance friendly shop. The guy that I bought my 2 take off 17's works there and had just finished up installing a whipple kit on a new GT, I think he said he has done 6-8 of them already. They have there own performance department at the dealership.
