Default car dead

Came back into town and my car was dead. (nothing works at all) Dont have a clue as to how it happened. Would it be as simple as hooking up jumper cables and starting it or do I need to call ford and ask questions. Wasnt sure with it being a new car. Any suggestions?? Thanks

mine croaked after sitting for 22 days. Dead as a doornail.

I jumped it (it needed to charge for a while before starting with my cheapo cables), and all is fine. I will try to remember to turn off Shaker before shutting car off in the future.

Car ran a little funky for the first few hours as the PCM RAM relearned the engine parameters (I think).

What does "make sure the radio is off before shutting the car off" do? Mine goes off as soon as the door is opened. Are you guys pulling a Dukes of Hazard and jumping through the windows?

you have to actually push the volume **** in to turn off the radio. if not then the amps still receive flea power enough to drain the battery after sitting for a period of time. generally it's like 2 weeks.

Many threads on this and it is true! get a battery tender plus and hook your battery to it if you are gone extended periods of time and it will start when you return
