The GT500 comes with a leather dash pad as an option. Has anyone seen where this can be purchased aftermarket?

 

I too want a dash pad. It doesn't have to be leather but anything to protect it from the sun.

 

No - but I'd like to see one. Concerned about solar fade and what not as well although the baby is garaged most of the time.

 

The leather in the GT500 is not a pad it is the entire top portion of the dash. You would have to replace the entire dash to get that.

My wife sure did like it and said she wanted it until i told her what had to be done to get it.

The Dash Pad I am referring to is not a cover but a complete replacement, also saw an article speaking of one of Shelby's personal GT-H's having the leather dash pad. Maybe an upholstery shop can take mine and cover in black leather?

 

Exactly my understanding is the entire dash has to be replaced as it is one complete unit. Now maybe i am being told incorrectly but according to ford and how they have the part listed for sale it is the entire dash assembly.Although you could have an upholstery shop cover yours I am sure as long as you have the money.
