WTF is wrong with stock 17" wheels........?!
V6s can order the 17" Bullitts as an option but they also come stock witht he Pony Pacakge. I love my 17s, not too big where it's like Pimp My Ride, but too small like the stock 15" that come on ricers. It definately goes more with the retro look.
Personally, I think Ford should make a wider rear wheel an option. I would really like to keep my stock rims and put wider tires on, but the widest I can go with a 8" wide rim is 255 for the tires I want. They should definately make the rear tire 1" wider than the front an option because many people would jump to get it.

I like the 17" standard bullitt wheels appearance. I prefered the grey color from the 05-06. I purchased my 2007 way before the dealer had any info on them, so I didn't know they were changing to silver color. But I have gotten used to them and like them now.

I wanted the 18" wheels, but not because they were 18".....I just thought they looked better than the painted 17" wheels....but at a cost of $800????? It made WAY more sense to me to order the car I wanted and purchased these wheels seperately.....

As soon as my car get's here, I'm going to take the tires off of the stock wheels (and now switch the pressure sensors) and put them on these...then I can sell the stock wheels on ebay if I want. I really don't think the 18" wheels are worth waiting for.

Personally I was lucky to find the car with the wheels I liked...I think its a personal preference of what each individual person likes, there's no right or wrong with mods it all depends on what YOU want...It's your ride.
Dayammm forensicsteve, that is oneTALL cowl. How high is it? Where didyou get that? Can you see over it? Is it open in front, by the windshield. Do you have problems with birds flying into it or small animalshiding in it? Looks OK though. :-) Do you like it alot?

Weight of the wheels are the factor when considering rotating mass. The same principle applys to wheels as it does to driveshafts. The heavier the driveshaft, the more HP it takes to rotate its mass. That is why there is HP gains when going with a lighter driveshaft like a carbon fiber. (which is what my next major mod will be) More rotating mass = less HP to the tires.

The 17" split spokes are the best looking mustang wheels IMHO. They should have made 18inch variations of them. These wheels are the reminants of the original Mustang concept car.

people like me and doodad with the 17" wheels are running faster times at the track stock...and i have the 65lb shaker 1000! running 13.4xx...while 18" people are running 13.5 - 13.6 at best, usually slower...no doubt they are lighter and faster.

I too specifically wanted the 17's, but after seeing a bunch of Stangs with the 18" Bullitt's, I think I'm going to get those when I need tires. I also like the Helo Tease wheels too so it may be a tough decision.
