yea, seems a little low, myabe the shop isn't the best tuner, or he could of been on a DynoJet, which puts around 20 RWHP less down...
do you mean a mustang dyno? i thought dyno jets were the ones that gave the higher #s

How easy is it to fudge the numbers on a dyno by the operator either high or low to there advantage. If a tuner is selling his tune can he simply dyno a low number, load his tune then suddenly make it look impressive ? Hopefully no one would do it but now days its hard to trust.

He might have been talking about power to the wheel.
I'm sure he was as all dynos, except for engine dynos, measure hp and tq to the wheels. I just thought it sounded a little low for what he had; I'm sure its still fast as hell. Sounded mean for sure[sm=gears.gif]

Ok, so on my way home today I ran into a 05+ GT on the road and stopped him to ask what exhaust he was running (since I'm in the market for one). He told me he had Hooker long tubes, no cats, Hooker x-pipe and the Borla/FRPP axle back. He also said he had an intake (not specific) and UDPs. I asked what he was using to tune with and he said some guy from a local shop was dyno tuning it himself and was NOT using a Predator or XCal. With all that he put down 300rwhp. Now to me, that doesn't sound right based on what I've read. He should be more around 315-320, correct? Is he maybe getting a bad tune or something?
sounds low to me...with my mods I am getting over 300 rwhp and torque on a 05 auto with kooks catted x, c+l CAI...evolutions tune.with a very credible guy coastal with a mustang dynometer...I will be the first one to say that dynos and the people operating them make a huge difference as one dyno rated me at 265 on a dyno jet but it did not seem like the guy was testing right and he tested my auto in 3rd..whereas coastal did a 4th gear test on their dynometer and got me at over 300....I go by my own built in ***"o"meter and it says rwhp and the looks my car get are enough for me until the saleen goes in....Id tell the guy as everyone advised me...go somewhere else and get it tested again
