Now, this is just me, but I would have put it up on the silver part. In the middle of the lower part of the airbag "door". I have seen a car that had it placed there, and it looked amazing. And I agree with the shaving the posts and double sided tape thing...

But it still looks great man!
If anyone wants to mount an emblem here, I wouldstrongly advise against drilling holes in your passenger airbag. That could impede its function. If you absolutely must have the emblem there, then use the double sided tape as suggested...
I would not put anything metal over the airbags.(unless you gowith thesticker which imo looks the best) In the event the airbag is deployed, that flying piece could seriously injure or kill your passenger.

Exactly.. that's why I would not have put it there... even with tape.

I didn't have a problem drilling.. it was going to say there once it was on.

Looks great, nice job getting it back straight.
I did the same thing with a '68 Mustang script, used double sided tape and have mine centered.
