Default Camber bolts and lowering

I took my stang to Ford last week about my passenger front tire making a low noise... almost like something is rubbing. They checked it out and said that nothing is rubbing but that my car was lowered and that I was getting slight tire wear more on that side. My question is > will camber bolts fix this?< If so the BMR site says that one set will give me 2 degrees--- how can I check to see how many degrees I'm off? Thanks to all that respond in advance.

Your camber is off. Whenever you lower a car you must reset the camber. This is part ofa properly done alignment. If your camber is off, your tires will wear much more on one side than the other. This is not only an issue of tire wear, it is an issue of safety as well! Improper camber will hurt your braking and steering too.

If you want to measure it, go read up on Camber on wikipedia so you know what you are measuring. Then get an angle finder and check it.

My advice? Buy the camber bolts and get a professional alignment ASAP.

Did you also correct your pinion angle and rear-end offset when you lowered the car or did you just drop the springs in and go?

To my knowledge I didn't think that I had to adjust the pinon angle on a solid rear axle...

Yes, you do have to adjust it. When you lower the car, the body moves closer to the rear axle tube. Consequently the angle between the driveshaft and the pinion gear changes. Well, it WAS correct from the factory, and after you lower it,it is no longer correct. Get either adjustable LCAs (which I suggest) or an adjustable UCA so that the angle can be corrected. If you don't do this you can expect vibration and shortened life of your driveshaft joints and pinion bearings.

Also, becasue of the panhard bar, the rear end will shift to one side when you lower it. You can see this with your eye, probably. Your driver's side rear wheel will be sticking out further from the body than your passenger's side wheel. Adjustable panhard bar fixes this.

It's a win-win situation. These parts will not only fix your issues, but they will also improve your handling greatly.

I would also suggest you get some lower control arm drop/anti squat brackets.
