Default Electronic Throttle Response

Is there anyway of improving it. Will a tunable induction fix the slight delay? We you pull back off the throttle the revs stay high which is quite annoying when down shifting and expecting the car to slow it self like a normal cable throttle would. Any suggestions?

Will a pre-programmed tune like the one at the top of this bulletin board handle that, or do I costomize the tune?

You can change it with your SCT X-Cal or Predator, or get a custom tune and take it out.

Excellent question. I'm amazed that Ford didn't fix this before selling these cars. Mustangs are cars for "drivers."

Until I had my SCT dyno tuned, the throttle response was horrific. Try to go from 5th to 4th? A joke. It would hang and hang - to the point where I didn't even try to heel and toe.

Thankfully, the "tune" rectified the issue. Ford engineers? Bad Form.

Now - I can shift.

Yeah i havent been talking much on this website, but i just got the JLT2 CAI and tune from Brenspeed.....my throttle response was a night and day difference.....of course i already had aftermarket borla exhaust which to me sounds amazing for anyone out there who is considering it....i will be putting some pics up when i get back to my apartment.....my dads internet is awful....i just painted the brake calipers red (got the kit from autozone for $15) looks great as well....and two days ago i picked up a set of staggered 20" bullitts with BF G-force tires from discount tire....hooks alot better than it used to, and I cant go anywhere now with out some ppl staring at the car....makes me feel like a movie star [8D]. My mustang is black on black, and for anyone who is considering blacking out their tail-lights i recommend the "GTS" covers....they are tinted plastic but are made well and fit perfect....so if you get pulled over by some cop who just wants to be a dick, you can just take them off really quick and put them back on later or something..haha....

Did you eliminate the delay spoken of here, with your tune?

Yeah. Does your tuner actually have a function that allows you to control the amount of throttle response? If not, I say its all mental. I'd like to see someone figure out howto make the system faster, but from what I understand the delay is a byproduct processing. However, I amalso told that the long dashpot and accumulated response improve fuel economy and provide abetter ride for people that drive like ******** (never steady on the throttle, always jumping on it instead of tipping into it).Who knows?
