Default Rear Fascia issue

So it seems the rear right upper (right below the taillight on the outer edge)portion of my rear fascia is popping off the car about 1/4 inch. I actually saw /another/ mustang with the exact same problem. Anyone else every notice any issue? I can't seem to find anything on this topic.

Yeah, the fit and finish from the factory in those areas is horrible. You might take it to the dealer. They can probably adjust it, but it's never going to be perfect.

I can accept "not perfect" but 1/4 inch away from the car is silly. I need to get a scratch on the rear bumper touched up so I might have a body shop check it out when they fix that.

See if dealer will allocate a certain amount (say $60) for body shop to fix it (since you are going there anyway) . My car is perfect in the rear fascia (and so are 99% of them) so yours can be too. I could get it between 99% - 100% of perfect and that's not my trade. If the dealer does not have their own prof body shop I would not let a dealer mechanic fool with this. Body panel alignment takes a special eye, experience, tricks and techniques for the more troubling fit issues (which I doubt this one is).

In all likelihood it did not leave the factory this way which means it just needs to be reset and more permenantly this time.
