Default Exhaust Question

I have an 06 GT totaly stock. If I change out the mufflers with Borla cat backs will I have a drone? I'm trying to decide on what type to install. I'm even leaning towards the Ford Racing catbacks M5230-5GT. I want a little more aggrssive sound but nothing to where I can't hear anyone talk to me in the car.

well, not to be a corrective jerk but they're not catbacks, they're axle-backs.

the drone is with the stingers, which i have. the oval 5GT's have little to no drone but have a more aggressive sound than the stock mufflers. i would go with the one's you are leaning towards.

I got the FRPP axlebacks that you mentioned (M5230-5GT) ScreaminYella and they sound awesome. There is a bit of drone in the 1800-2100 RPM range, but it isn't that bad. I am usually not in this RPM range very long anyway.

Just to be clear, Borla DOES make a Cat-back setup with stingers. It is just not a very common option...for good reason. It is really no better than simply doing axleback, and it is more expensive.
