THe autos in the New-Edges Blew... They are about .2-.4 slower in the QM than a Manual New Edge.

 

well what the hell does he have? if he's got an auto then maybe the outcome will still be the same.

 

Now it's true that I'm not a doctor, but given the horsepower difference, an 04 GT auto should still be able to take a manual v6. It'll also depend on how he's shifting. Given the lack of knowledge he has about his new car, it's a safe assumption that he doesn't spend a lot of time racing with it, and so he'll probably be shifting like grandma (like he would if he was just crusing around), in which case your auto should still be fine to beat his ***.

 

They put a new auto in the 05+'s and its pretty good actually.

 

off topic.. sort of.. but I am pretty damn impressed with my auto.. shifts when it is supposed to at WOT.

 

i know because i have an auto in mine. what i am getting at though is that even with the upgraded tranny, his GT still should be able to take that v6.
