Default Navigation system

I apologize if this has already been answered but I'm curious to get more information on the new navigation system offered in the late-model '07 mustangs. I just went on the ford website but couldn't find much information (cost, specs, etc.). Does anyone have this info or know where I can get it? I'm debating on whether to get the factory nav system or perhaps spend a little more and get the Pioneer Avic-Z1.
Thanks!

The factory one is not a touchscreen whereas the Avic-Z1 is, Case Closed for me. Also the Pioneer one has more features to it.

According to the ford site, it is a touch screen.Below is all the information they give:

"This Navigation System combines DVD mapping with Global Positioning System (GPS) technology. It features a 6.5†color LCD screen with high-quality graphics, voice route guidance feature, plus touch-screen simplicity for ease of use."

Woah nevermind! I would just get it from the factory if you don't mind not having a dvd player, mp3 player, back up camera, and some other things I don't remeber. Maybe someone who has the Avic-Z1 can chime in.

Thanks s2k, the DVD player and cameraaren't too important to me. It may have mp3 player capability depending on how well (or if) the nav system is combined with the Shaker 500. My biggest problem with the Avic-Z1 is that it doesn't allow the user to change coordinates while in motion. Others have complained that using the override for this feature is a pain because error messages keep popping up. I'm curious to hear if the nav in the mustangs is the same system as in the Lincoln Zephyr, which was discussed on these forums recently. The nav in the Zephyr was recently ranked first among all factory systems!

not sure if it's the same one as the Zephyr, just hoping that someone can confirm or deny it if the info is out there...

I have been trying to get info on this (in the Mustang) for quite awhile. I did find outNOT to ask a Ford salesman, they are clueless... I did find this on the net, its a pic of one in the Shelby GT500. I also confirmed from Ford Motor Co Customer Relations that is NOW available for order in the 07 Mustang..

The Z1 has a bigger screen, you CAN use all the features while moving by easily doing an override, and is a million times better overall and has waaaaaaaaaay more features.
