Default Plug in E/T estimator?

Has anyone here got the SCT(I think) plug in unit that attaches to your wind shield and plugs into the lighter? It supossedly will tell you an estimate of your standing 1/4 HP/Torque curve and what not.Are these fairl reliable? For 200.00 its not a bad thing if it works.

The SCT is a tuner. You're probably thinking of this:

Here's a video of it in action: http://www.gtechpro.com/mov-lg.mpg

I have an older version of the GTech, and if nothing else, the results are consistant and dead on to what I would think they should be. Never had my car dynoed or been to the track, so I can't vouch for accuracy.

Gtechs rule, very accurate and easy, only 200 bucks and makes any flat quarter mile a dragstrip.

My friend has a g-tech that I've borrowed a few times.... My best time as of now was a 4.68 to 60!! Only did the quarter once, and got 4.9 to 60 and 13.4 at 105.6.

It seems to be very accurate, and is very consistent.

How can it measur horsepower based on acceleration? It would need to know the car's weight, tires, road conditions, etc. Just curious.
