A warning: You always have to reload the stock tune before Ford techs get their hands on the car, with my tunersetup anyway. If you don't, and they update the stock file, your tuner will no longer recognise the car and will refuse to reinstate the performance tune.

Had the same problem when i recieved mine from Brenspeed, turns out the SCT tuner needed an update in the software to recognise the 05 and up mustang computers. Send an email to Brent and he will fix you right up! A+ customer service!! Oooops, or the vender you purchased from......

RE: wrong tune? help
If you can borrow an SCT II tuner from someone you should be able to read "strategy" from ECM. The info can be used to tell which flash you received. I'm not sure but Diablo and maybe the new Superchips tuner may have more flexibility built in because they don't ask for this info. Problem is that the best tuners IMHO seem to like SCT.

RE: wrong tune? help
Well, I called brenspeed earlier today and talked to somebody on the phone, we couldn't resolve anything so I gave him my strategy # and he said he would have Brent call me back when he got back into the office. Brent just called and it turns out my tuner is locked still. We tried to unlock it through the program but it says it's locked, which it should not be since I've never put any tunes onto my vehicle. He's going to send me out another tuner tomorrow and load the tune right on it for me.. he seems like a great guy and very helpful

Yep! I've heard great things but this confirms it. This guy really knows how to treat his customers. I bought a used tuner and a tune, and the guy is going to give me a brand new tuner and load my tune onto it. I highly recommend brenspeed

My first one didn't work either. Called them up and with little questions they sent me a new one within a few days. They are good...I mean real good. lol...
Just to keep your hopes up, tuning is awesome. You will be very satisfied and have a blast with your new tune. After driving for almost a month with brents 93 tune, I put it back to stock and went for a spin. Holy crap wasI bord....In the high rpms its not too much different...but the torque you gain from 2000-4000 gets you up to speed much quicker. I found myself shifting more quickly with the tune, and when it was stock, I would shift slower because it takes longer to spool up.Over all it makes the car run better. I don't get that poping from the exhaust when the car is cold because it not running rich as hell anymore. A tune seems like it is better for the engine then to factory tune...everything just feels better. You be the next judge.
