VERT RATTLES
Fellow Vert owners,
Have you had any rattle issues with your top? I now have 31K miles, im on my 2nd top as the brackets/hardware have been rattling like man since the 5K mile mark.
I had a meeting with the region ford engineer rep and he is conlcuding that the noise is "normal wear and tear" due to the fact he drove another car with 20K+ miles and the noises were worse.
I must note that the other vehicle had low profile tires and other suspension mods, and mine is Bone Stock...
I am VERY upset that ford are basically washing thier hads of my situation [:@][:@][:@]
Anyone else had these issues?
Cheers!

Hate to remind you but 30,000 miles is about the time when all cars start to break down. And you only have a short time (or few miles) left on the warranty.
So the overpaid, undereducated Ford tech, who couldn't find his @ss with both hands and a flashlight, thinks it's "just the normal noises in here!" (Tom Petty reference)
All that this will result in is one less Ford customer.
What a way to run a car company, huh?
That Nissan 350Z is getting more attractive everytime I read a thread like this

Ford simply can't bank on the assumption that allSN197 owners are ga-ga over their vehicles, and because of this - Ford can ignore them or brush them aside. Everytime Ford slaps a customer in the face, it will haunt themin the long term. Why is it so hard for them [or the Ford employees on these forums] to understand this?
New SN197's that leak water into the passenger compartment? Batteries going dead? Ford continually denying these issues and others? Etc. Some of this stuff is simply bullsh*t.
I have an 06 with 21K miles. I get a rattle, from what seems like the left corner just once in a while if I hit something that really shakes the car, like a bad pot hole. I thought I'd mention it the next time I'm in for service. Most of the time, no problem.
