help on tire search

I'm trying to finda company that sells 265/50/17 size tires for my 06 GT. No luck so far; anybody know anyplace?

Why 265. There are plenty of 255/50/17 and there are also 275/50/17 Dont know why I cant find 265 right off hand.

Those are about 1" shorter than the 235/55s I'm running now. I think they would open too much space between the topof the tire and the fenders. (Even with the eibach prokits I have).

275/50/17s are about 1/2" taller and may rub; something I'll have to check out.

Go to the tire forum and ask Colin from the TireRack. If they make 'em, he knows about 'em.

With the huge number of available tire sizes it's hard to believe you can't find the 265/50 17s out there. I've seen several references on the forum to using this size.
