I used to own a stang in that body style and i loved it. But ever since i got my S197 i couldn't imagine driving anything else. It makes me realize how far the nose on the late 90's model stuck out. [:'(] I'm sure it's a different story behind the wheel of that thing but style goes a long way and i just don't like the style of the late 90's models anymore. But that's just my opinion and what counts is that it's the car you wanted.

Ditto! I love my rearend of my 06.![Smile](https://mustangforums.com/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Seems like a waste of money. For $3k you can get a new block with forged internals. Add another $4k for a supercharger and you've got more power than you can stand. You probably lost 7 grand on the trade and gained 20k miles.

Yeah I would have to say the styling with the S197 is what convinced me. I love the retro look and probably would not consider any other style mustang unless its a classic.

Good find doodad. I love the s197 and i love the terminator. The terminators were such a steal back in 2003-2004, probably the best bang for buck mustang ever built. For some reason though the svt ford dealers in my area couldn't get rid of them for a while, even at msrp. These cars were just under 35k for 390 underrated hp and ran 12.70's in stock trim. A cai, smaller pulley, tune, and catback got you over 100rwhp and mid 11'sfor only 1,000 dollars or so. The forged short block is the best thing about the terminators,I know guys with almost 700rwhp on stock internals and no problems at all. Hope to see you and stonr at the trackthis spring at us41in morrocco. Stay stock for a little while so i can at least keep up with you. LoL

I'm not following the math though. You said how much you still owed, but you didn't say how much you've already paid in car payments. You need to subtract that from the $4k.
Overall if you bought it for $22k and sold it for $20k then you lost $2k.
Now if you add in depreciation and you sold the car for exactly what it is worth (current market value), then you came out even from that perspective, with exception of interest paid on the loan, taxes, fees and so on.

Sometimes I think you are really full of it doodad. how much did you put down on the s197 when you bought it for 22k? You must have put down a bunch or paid a lot every month to only owe $16k now. So how again did you purchase the car for $22k? Family member work for ford?
Anyway you got a less attractive car (my opinion) and almost doubled your miles over night! Not a great deal to me.
