so if u engage all the way to the floor, just as u release it catches? dam mine is much differant

Mine engages pretty close to the floor too.
Yeah, when I first bought it I killed the engine a few times because it engages so close to the floor. I've owned other stick-shifts and this one is the closest. And my '04 F-150 engages about 1/2 to the floor.

Yeah, it came that way. I had to give the guy from the dealership a ride back when I got it home (I went there in my truck to pick it up and had to get both vehicles back home). Anyway, when I drove it to give him a ride back I almost stalled and I mentioned to him that the clutch came in really close to the floor. He said yeah, and that he stalled it twice when he was moving it at the dealership.

'06 clutch grabs up very high compared to the clutch on the '88. Two completely different animals.

I have an 07 Stang, I find that mine releases almost allthe way released. I had a difficult time getting used to the release point. I have a 93 Vette and just got rid of a 06 Cobalt, these cluthes release much closer to the floor, thanks for the post, I was wondering if there was something wrong with my clutch and if it needed adjustment.

These cars have a hydrolic clutch. Its self adjusting and should grab at the same pint whether it is brand new or almost gone. I wish I could adjuct it and if anybody knows how, please let me know.
