if some of you guys got charged a gas guzzler tax you might want to double check your paperwork...
unless there is some state gas guzzler tax you got hit with, you got robbed!
i went to fordvehicles.com and the mpg ratings are the same as every other year and there was no GG tax listed anywhere!

I don't know what I was thinking. Maybe I saw it on one of those window stickers for the GT500 posted on the Internet????
Well, yeah I feel kinda dumb. But I feelgood that I know I didn't pay for GG. It's kind of a wash though. [&:]
I guess we can now put that one to bed.

umm....i'd love to really see this. And way slower...i doubt it. It's called get a 07 that has no motorized seats or heated seats there's a few pounds there and get 17" rims.

if you chose to get the slower gears in the 07 it is slower. but since it is an option to get the same gears, those who did have pretty much the same performance. no ofense to those 07 ers but the stock gearing is slower- but if you got that that was your choice.

well, it is good to hear Ford isn't totally insane. hearing that that magazine was wrong about thegas guzzlertax is good news :-)
as for the 3.55 being an option though, that's BS. if you get the 3.55 though, performance shouldn't be THAT much slower...maybe .2 at most in the 1/4?
unfortunately, the 100lb weight difference is a reality, and the de-tune may be a reality as well. i would love to compare the tunes of a stock 2006 with a stock 2007 w/3.55 axle...or maybe it is tuned for the stock 3.31 axle which is why the tune is not the same even when you get the 3.55...
