I have heard that a 4.10 in the GT should Pull you back in your seat when you take off, but It doesn't seem that drastic a difference than stock.

My 4.10's are great.

I think what you're experiencing is caused by the drive by wire system - the revs don't fall off as quickly as you're used to - they hang a bit.

Mine got better after the SCT tune - but it's still an adjustment for me.

Overall I am very happy with them. I did notice a definite difference in acceleration the day I picked the car up. Like anything I got used to it. For a daily driver, the gears and Hurst are pushing the comfort level for me. The shifter has broken in since, making it a little better. I have the Motive gears because they were a present and they do whine slightly. I kinda like this so not an issue in my book unless it gets worse and louder. I think I got them for 150 on Brenspeed and yes all I did was set the perameters for 4.10 on my SCT and speedo dialed right in.

i'm going with 4.30's for sure. With those, cruising in 5th gear at 80mph, it will be at 2850rpms and that's awesome. The 4.10's should still put you in your seat, are you sure they installed the right gears or ripped you off? The tune, like mentioned, will be for your throttle lag and just to adjust your speedo for the gear swap. The throttle lag could be hurting but shouldn't be that much.

Use this if you want to see what rpms you will be at with different gear ratios and your speed.

I just had 4.10's installed in my 4.0L/5spd. Here's a post I made about my initial impressions -

Don't Fear 4.10's
