Have seen keyfobs get weird. Even with out pushing the button the keyfob could be vibrating causing the trunk release signal to be sent. Ford really should have disabled the trunk release once the key was in the ignition and turned on. May be a simple modification if you could isolate the circut. If its a mechanical problem then it would be a different fix obviously.
