1" WHEEL SPACERS!!!!!
These 1" wheel spacers your talking about what do they look like? Do they have new studs on them or are they simply the kind you stick behind your wheels and use the stock studs and lug nuts? If that is what they are then I only have one thing to say. DO NOT DO IT! You will only have about 2-3 threads holding your wheel on. Why do you even want to instal a spacer?

The 1" spacers come with their own studs. They have recesses for the original studs and come with nuts to hold the spacer on, then they have their own studs protruding from the spacer for mounting the wheel. I remember them featured in MM&FF about a year or so ago, and I've seen them in person. They don't look half bad and don't push a stock wheel past the fender, I'd say, more closely in-line with it.
I might be using the german TuV approved ones to clear brembos. But I am not sure yet. The factory 18" bullitts would stick out no further than the bullitts mustang tuning sells, etc.
I bought a set to fit Breyton Magic wheels I have to use on the Mustang. I'm not sure how they will look, but will post some pics once I install them The Breytons came off my 325CI and are really sharp looking wheel. I was thinking of selling them but decided to try the spacers first. Each wheel cost me about $500 and know I won't get near thatif I try toresell them. So I bought the spacers for about $200 for all 4. The Breytons are 18X8 and should fit perfectly according to the vendor. The spacers are fitted with studs for the wheel and the holes are setup to mount with stock lug nuts which were included. They are milled from a solid block of aluminum if I recall correctly, hence the high cost.

I know many 4x4 guys that use them and they use some that are up to 4" thick. Usually you have to go at least 1-1/2" to have them be strong enough though.
