automatics with 18% avg parasitic loss run as low as 240 and I have seen as high as 257
Standard 5 speed with about 14% parasitic loss run as low as 252 to as high as 265 stock

I went to Stang-hi yesterday for a dyno day to see what I'm working with. The results on my auto were 281 rwhp and 303 rwtorq. I couldn;t get brent on the phone to get a dyno tune for the car so this is the best cody coulddo. The thing I'm curious about is my fisrt run my tranny dropped down 1 gear and the rwhp shot to 293. Am I correct in saying that the lower the gear the more HP the car produces. Anyway I'm still a little short of what I want. I'm looking for 300-330 rwhp. So what do you guys think about the #'s so far. Mods are on my sig.
nice numbers.....our 05+ GT's aresupposed to be dyno tested in 4th gear...it should go up through the gears etc....lower gear does not neccesarily equate to higher HP. there is a whole physics explanation here that I admittedly do not have enough knowledge to describe. overall your numbers are very solid....a couple more mods and you will be there....more important than your dyno numbers is what your ***"o"meter tells ya.....good luck and be safe with it...
It doesn't matter what gear you do it in, as long as the computer knows the gearing ratio and as long as the torque does not exceed the dyno's max torque measurement capabilities. If you did a pull in first gear, it would likely give you an error reading. Other than that, it should be fairly accurate (293 vs 281 is still a *somewhat accurate* measurement). The reason the pulls are done in 4th usually is because having it in a gear whose transmission ratio is 1:1 (driveshaft turns once for every time the engine turns once) eliminates any and all miscalculation due to the transmission, and yields a more accurate number.

I just rolled on a Mustang Dyno and measured 277HP with just the mods in my sig. The number quoted above compared to the number I've given suggests ~40rwhp.

Conversely, mathmatically (theoretically) the advertised HP less drivetrain loss suggests 300HP(0.85) = 255. Do you have, or know where I can find, a stock GT (stick) Mustang Dyno graph? That would be really great.

Nevermind. I'm starting to wish I did before/after pulls.

Stock 5speeds put down about 265 rwhp on dynojet SAE corrected. Alot of people will post dynojet results but don't tell you if the numbers areSAE or STD. STD numbers are slightly higher than SAE. Hope this helps

Thats Close, if you look at the spreadsheet, I added calculations to adjust for Dyno type and it will calculate approximate Crank HP.

Does anyone know the the Percentage difference is between SAE and STD numbers?
