Default Question about parking a manual tranny on a hill

My driveway is on a slight downhill angle facing toward the house. I back in, so the car is facing the road. Technically if I left the car in neutral, it'd want to roll backwards into the house. So I leave it in first and engage the E-brake (hopefully I don't have the brakeline freezing problem).

So my question is, could some determined thieves just push it out of my driveway, being that it's in first gear and facing the street? I know the E-brake is on, but that's not extremely powerful is it?

maybe it's a silly question, this is my first manual tranny so it's all new to me : )

so your drive way is like this?

___street_____________
[house]___/ <---driveway

your car is not going anywhere. the e-brake is strong, and it would be extremely hard to push if its in gear. if it was in neutral it would be easier.

I don't understand this question at all!
Since when do car thieves PUSH cars??? Never happens!
They just use a slim jim, hot wire the car and drive it off!
If you're worried about your car being stolen get an alarm, a club or brake pedal lock, a cra cover with a lock, and chain it around the wheels to a pole or a tree!
Oh, and turn your front wheels all the way in either direction,as that will make more noise when they tow it out of there!
