Yeah this is a good thread. I'm saving for the kooks long tube headers with x-pipe included. Has anyone regretted buying those?
Oh, not for one second. Matched up with Borla Stingers...The car sounds mean as hell. That with the delete plates which I did within two weeks of the LT install, damn, the car pulls like a monster up top!!!

Funny you mention axle backs because I have Macs' and they aren't exactly quiet. I know I will be the biggest jerk in the neighbour hood when I start that carin the morning that a course is parked in the single car garage. Dude how do you install those delete plates? Isn't that a spacer that is placed at the throttle body?

The delete plate install is quite easy, but they are not an "it" and aren't a throttle body spacer. They are the plates that the intake manifold sits on, which replace the stock ones which have a motor that opens and closes the ports when you hit the gas. The delete plates unlike the stock plates, are always open and no longer have the little motor opening and closing them.

Hmm, I'd say it's a toss up.

1) Steeda CAI and tune = sucked had to get rid of it.
2) BMRLCA's = made noise, clunked, had to get rid of them
3) 3.73's = made noise ever since, replaced over and over
4) Installed Dynamat = slipped w/razor knife = gashed my rear seat.

I swear, this car fights me on everything!

Why did you not like the Steeda? I have nothing but great things to say about mine. Did you have the Hi/Flow inlet tube? Just curious...thanks!!

I just had the standard Steeda CAI and tune, I know now that it was the stock Steeda tune that was the problem and not the CAI itself. I didn't mean it to sound like the CAI was poorly made, in fact, the filter element housing is better quality than my C&L piece of plastic. I'm sure i could have saved some coin by keeping the CAI and just getting a new tune from Brenspeed or something. Live and learn though.
