RE: First drive in snow with my baby.
I can totally relate to this thread. Today's light snow here in South chicago was my first snow drive with the mustang which I have had for less than a week and have not driven it for more than a day. Let me tell you, exciting!!!! Slip, slide, fish tails. I have driven manual but never rear-wheel with a monster V8, only Frnt wheel four bangers. I think i am going to go home and get the PT Cruiser till everything clears up, to rich for my blood. Cheers!

No bravery required, just two words: SNOW TIRES!!!!
We had about 1/8" of freezing rain this afternoon and the car handled great, just took it easy on stops and starts. The Blizzaks are worth every penny if you have to drive your Mustang year round.

Rather than run out and drop a grand or more on a stop gap measure, I chose to tough out the last few weeks of winter with the Stang. So the invesment monetarily and time wise for tires would be a waste.
I will invest a few grand this summer in another more reliable mode of winter transportation.
I just hate seeing snow /salt / ice and slush touching my ride.
I can handle the driving aspect of it fine. The intial experience was a bit nerve racking though. I worry about other idiots slamming into her.
