Default Air Sensor Light (help please)

Couple days ago I got new 18" rims and they found out that they had air sensors. They couldn't put them on the 18"s because I originally had 17"s and the band wouldn't fit. They took out the chip and ordered bands, today they got the bands in and they installed the chips onto the new bands for my 18" wheels. The air sensor light is still on, im thinking I need to go to ford to reprogram it? Please let me know.

Yes. The sensor will need to be retrained.

Sounds odd. The sensor should work just fine in a new wheel - it's not a very complex device? Are you sure they were fitted correctly with the new bands?

try disconnecting the battery for a bit, maybe it will reset because it uses a wirless signal and once the signal is lost i'm sure you will have to reset it...good luck
