LM indeed have resonators which are technically a form of muffler.

Yep, they have resonators. Thats how they are still "legal".

Your not wrong SLP Loud Mouth are just a pipe with a nice long stainless tip, and they soud great!

The slp's for 05+ are resonated tips. If you look in the tips there are tiny hole and inside the holes is ceramic sound absorbing material.
