RE: Spinning the tires in a GT with manual tranny
No offense, but if you don't know how to do a burnout, your have no business doing one. Spinning the tires in a slow front wheel drive car may be all fun and games, but spinning the wheels in a 300+hp rwd car with a limited slip diff can get someone killed VERY quickly.

1) So is it just a matter of put it in first, bring it up to 5k rpm and take foot off clutch?
2) Isn't that stressful for the clutch / tranny?
3) I thought someone said something about a brake line that locks the front tires in place, and that it's standard on the GT's, specifically for spinning the tires to warm them up before a race, can anyone fill me in on that?

2) Yes, it will be stressfull on the clutch/transmission.
3) You're talking about line-locks, I don't think there has ever been a production car with came standard with line-locks.

Are you turning off traction control? Your computer may be pulling throttle when your dumping it into second. Besides is that a new car (see the sticker on the window) give it 1000 miles or so before you beat on it (yea like I did).
