RE: Door subs, tuned. Hit 104db
Is there anyway I can do this without replacing the HU? I want to keep the Shaker 500 HU, but maybe throw in an amp to power the subs more? Would that work? And how would I be able to do this? Sorry not wanting to hi-jack the thread but since we were on the subject..

Its the sound processing in the HU thats the problem. Im sure u can get some kind of EQ and get it properly tuned and it will help a good bit but its the inital sound processing in the shaker500 thats the problem.

Hmm.. ok.. I'll think about getting an EQ. How's this one look? http://www.crutchfield.com/S-FSB0Dfd...i=1134042A#Tab
Think this'll help the subs a little bit? I was thinking about redoing all the speakers, change out the subs, and change the HU, but the funds are gonna go toward something else.

I thought the subs for the Shaker 1000 were in the back.
I also thought that the Shaker 500 doesn't have any subs at all. But then again, that is a pretty big speaker grill they put on the doors.
