Bugs!
Okay, all you obsessive compulsive detailers out there, I have a question for you. I took my new 'stang on her first road trip this weekend, and here in Texas, we already have bugs. Some of them had the nerve to commit hari-kari against my baby's bumper. What's the easiest and most effective way to remove the carnage without damaging the paint?

A good cleaner/wax and some nice gentle rubbing will do the trick. Also, a waxed car seems to help the process ofremoving future bug carcasses. Like a previous poster said, always wash them off as soon as possible while they are still pliable. Don't let them harden, if possible.

I know back when I had my Sentra someone broke into my car, so I had the ol' duct taped plastic bag passenger window replacement for a little. When I removed it, it left a lot of adhesive on the paint. Goo Gone took it off no problem. Course I lived in Boston at the time and didn't baby that car like I baby this one. Didn't notice any problems with the paint though, and it sounds like you didn't. Worth a shot. Plus it's useful around the house too!

I live near the coast and I have to clean the bugs everyday. Bug season is starting here as well, and it won't end until October. The best thing I have found is a good waxing on the front and I use a spray bottle with distilled water to soften them up before wiping them off with a micro-fiber towel. There is not a good way, but it is something you have to deal with every year.

80 grit sandpaper here!!
Actually, I keep a good coat of wax on the front of the car. It takes a little scrubbin, but a micro fiber towel and soapy water does it for me. If theres any "gut residue" Goo gone or a bug and tar remover does the trick. The bugs are gonna get fired up aroundheresoon! Dreading it too!!

Take it to a full service car wash, or even one of those do it yourself jobbers. Just spray the bugs down with soap to soften them up, then pressure wash them right off. I work in detail at a ford dealership and do it 100 times a day. Lol i even do it on my own car so no worries, its safe.

Thanks, guys. I should have said that I probably won't have time to get to it for a few days, so they'll be fairly dry on there. I do have a pressure washer, so I'll try soaking them first and then hitting it with the high pressure.
