first of all, your signature is freaking hilarious! Secondly, you never should have bought an automatic muscle car. sorry if i can't make you feel better, but good luck with whatever you do. Hopefully you'll find something that will make you love it again.
Im not looking for anyone to make me feel better, I just want to know if say, on a quarter mile is the standard faster than an Auto ?

BTW, Ive gotten so many compliments on that bunny I cant keep up....

I've heard conflicting arguements that with a correct tune the Auto and Manual don't have any noticable difference.

Hell a Mustang is a Mustang - I use my car as a daily driver and for shows/fun - But the difference from a Manual and Automatice is purely subjected to the drivers choice. I personally know that I multi-task and even triple-task while I drive at times, and a manual tranny would only add to the list.

Anyone who thinks that being able to burn rubber makes their car faster probably believes in the Easter Bunny!!!!
The Auto just gets the power to the ground better! If you want to waste time, fuel and rubber, than by all means trade the auto for a manual and become a certified waster of money!

I just bought my GTlast week. I had picked out a manual since that is my typical instinct (I've had several muscle and sports cars over the years, all manual). Luckily the dealership turned out to be jerks which sent me across town to a different one. They had about a dozen autos and 1 manual in the dark red. For grins I agreed to drive the auto to see what it was like since I really didn't want the red one. They let me take it out alone for a few minutes. I came back with a huge grin on my face, much to my surprise. The car is just plain fun in auto IMO andI'm reallypleased with it. I'm not sure if it's as fast as the manual and it doesn't matter to me these days. I've had plenty of fast cars -- a few much, muchfaster than this one, butas long as I'm smiling when I get home, I figure that makes all the difference.

The manual gets better gas mileage than the auto, not the other way around, the car has less work to do in the manual, and thus uses less fuel, its more efficient in manual. And how does the auto get the power to the ground better? In the manual you can choose xactly which gear you think you need to be in, IMO thats gonna get the power to the ground better

First off I have a vert. So it's a little on the heavy side.

Second, I'm damn glad I went with the Auto over the Stick.

Third, All you need is the following...

- C&L "Street" or "Racer" Cold Air Intake
- Steeda Underdrive Pulleys
- FRPP Control Motion Delete Plates (No longer in production)
- FRPP 4.10 Gears

And your set. Thats exactly what I have currently, along with LCA's, UCA, and SLP's.

You'll love it!!!!

Though, I went with the C&L "Street" CAI first and had it on for about 3 months before adding everything else. Don't know how I lived with out it, especially the gears!!!!!!

For street use choosing a manual or autoisn'tabout speed......it's about preference. If you are using the car for racing then the rule is typically manual for road racing and auto for drags.

how weird is this...but *I* was the person who took that picture of the bunny with the pancake on its head. i took a lot of pictures with various things on its head, and stupid me, posted them to the internet without crediting myself. then some asian ******* stole my pictures, and put up a website and a wikipedia article stating that those are pics of his rabbit, oolong, or some crap like that. that picture was taken on my cousin's bed, in orlando florida!! i even have the original picture, the one that's not cropped, to prove it! oh well, it's nice seeing that its caught on so much...too bad everyone is trying to claim credit for my pic though!!!

personally i would talk to Lidio at Alternative Auto (www.alternativeauto.com)... the man knows automatics! He went 10.90 in his 2005 GT with an AUTO on street tires!
