i have heard that the 2005 gt had about 300 hp. what is in the engine that makes it have 40 more hp then the 04?

 

newer technology and sohc 3v per cylinder as opposed to the old sohc 2v 4.6... there could also be intake/exhaust differences as well as piston and the overall head design to allow for better combustion in the chambers. It's been a while since I've read about it.

yea that's about right, its really a totally different engine just with the same bottom end.
