The Hurst has a much shorter throw, but some don't like the "notchy" action it has. I personally love the click in click out feel.

I sat in a Shelby GT at the auto show and rowed through the gears with the Hurst. Wow! First impressions was this is tough and notchy. Second impression was I could get used to this quick and it felt beefier, like it was begging you to slam through the gears, awesome!

I'm not sure the hurst has a shorter throw then the Tri-ax. I think their throws are similar. Another thing I like about the Tri-ax is that it raises the height of the **** big time. I set it to the highest setting and the top of the **** sits over the AC *****.

Bothfunctions as intended. Steeda is new and Hurst been here forever. Go for Hurst and you won't regret it. - Good luck!

Thanks for the feedback.

Is one harder to install than the other?

Hurst all the way. I installed mine on Sat and all I can say is WOW. This is one of the best mods I have ever done to a car. Shifts are firm and precise.
