Default Vinyl Striping

Hey guys!

I bought the 10" rally racing strips from BaltimoreStreetMods with the 1" on the sides I got them yeseterday and I've been having problems trying to find someone to install them. I found one company that's willing to do it they won't guarantee the product i'll have to sign a waiver that if they f*ck up it's on me and they say it'll take about 6 - 8 hrs to install them. Every other company that I ask to do it won't, they say it's too complicated and they don't wanna mess up [&:]???
I'm in the phoenix area and i'm wondering if any of you guys out there can tell me where you go it done at, and/or any advise would help a lot

thanks

Hey Daniel,
Long time, no chat......

Have you considered giving it a shot yourself? BSM instructions are good, and Rob is very helpful. Yes, it is a bit tedious, and time consuming, but it is very satisying when finished....Just follow his instructions, give yourself plenty of time to do it, over a weekend, have a helper handy to help handle the stripe when you peel it from the backing........Use plenty of wetting solution, and be gentle with the squeegee.......

After you get the first one layed down, you will get the hang of it pretty quick........I did the stripes on mine, and the 18 inch center stripe was a challenge on the hood, but the rest of it pretty much fell into place...

Best of luck with them, whatever you decide!!

Mike

I went to the local Ford dealer and got names of graphics shops, also spoke to colleagues in the local Mustang club. One shop kept coming up so I went with him. Hewould not guarantee the quality of the stripes for fading etc. but would guarantee his workmanship.

The dealer along with several body shops would not touch the project and kept referring me to a graphics specialty shop.

Good luck

As for the install time it took 1 person approx 4 hours to install thew BOSS stripes. They look great IMO

I used a local graphics company that does commercial vehicle graphics. He does Verizon's fleet vehicles, so I knew he'd have to be pretty good. They turned out great. The kit took about 3 hours to install.

Buddy, Im in the Phoenix area and got my car done.

First of all there are two companies that will do it. One is beaver graphics the other is Classic Penstripping.

I went with classic penstripping, which turned out to be a chic. She did my 11 stripes for $650, including the material. The work was good I was very satisfied but it took her serveral days to get it done right and when she did show up it was late and she was not prepared. So, good work but really bad customer service.

Beaver graphics (off of I-17) is a real business and they do it for the same price. I would definately recommend going to Beaver first, and using classic penstripping as a back up.

You can get the number for Beaver graphics from a simple internet search. If you need Classic Penstripping just call beaver graphics and ask for "Lisa's" phone # and they will give it to you.

Good luck...

Hey Mike!

Thanks for your input you now have me thinking about donig itmyself, if you think it's something i could do myself, I might as well try to do it I just don't want to mess it up [&:].

I see the stripes on yours and it looks way harder than mine would, specially on the hood!!! One question... How bad was it putting them on the roof? I'll take a good luck at the instructions and try and do it myself!

Thanks again for your input

ah, yeah Beaver graphics I've been speaking to them for the past week. Mike one of the sales persons has been telling me that they haven't worked on these cars yet?!!!! (sounds a bit shaddy now knowing that they did yours) other than that, he sounds like a pretty cool guy and is willing to do the work for about $300 i don't think he'll guarantee the worksmanship or the quality of the product since it isn't his.....So now i'm thinking that I should do it myself. Ugh what a hard decision to make. I'll speak with Beaver a bit more and clarify this situation and maybe i'll have them work on it..... For now i'm going to read the instructions and see if I can gather up enough courage this weekend and do it myself

Thanks a bunch for all your input!!

No problem Daniel. Actually the roof was the easiest part, for me. Just leave enough overhang on the front and back to be able to "tuck them in" under the rubberwindow gasket up front, and the valley in the back....
