Default SEQUENTIAL TAILS FROM STANGMODS

Just ordered a set of do it youself wiring kit from Stangmods (Sequential Turn Signals). Anyone do these on their cars? How intense of a job is it since it is not the plug n play version? Did I open a can of whoop-*** for myself? Any helpful hints would be appreciated!!!!

Wow, what a great price on the kit! Their website doesn't show install instructions that I can see, but just consider that you need to maintain a good seal between the trunk and the light module where the factory grommet is, and that anything outside the trunk needs to be protected for moisture so if there are any splices there your best bet is solder and tape. If you do use crimp-ons or other connectors, I'd recommend sealing with GE silicone to keep moisture out, don't just use electrical tape. You can also use a little silicone if you have to run a wire through the grommet to protect it as well.

You don't say what your electrical experience is, so it's hard to tell if you're over your head on this. You can email me if you want any advice on any part of your project, FWIW. Good luck!

It's not hard. However, I will say that it should be easier to change a bulb.

To remove the cover at the back of the trunk you need to remove four tabs. Don't pry them from their corners. They're actually in two pieces. Pull up on the center piece and it will come up and out. You'll see what I mean when you look at them.

Once you get the cover off, then you'll need to remove three nuts on each side. Be very careful not to let any of these nuts fall between the liner and trunk.

Also, if you have a Shaker 1000, it's going to be difficult to get to one of the nuts if you don't loosen the bass and move it out of the way.

I actually dropped one of the nuts when I was finishing up. I just couldn't get a good grasp on it with the bass still there. It was difficult to get it out again.

I should have just moved the bass out of the way in the first place!
