the glass would be then on the inside or outside, cuz from the pictures i cant tell
No glass, you take the window out and replace it with the louvers. These ABS plastic louvers are actually stronger than the glass. I love the way they look and am planning on buying them soon. I might have to consider doing them black also, looks good
The material used to manufacture these pieces is Lexan. Lexan is used to make bullet proof glass and Nascar windshields.
ABS is used to make things like honeycomb grilles and such.

The whole thing is clear, you paint the part like in the photos. The surfaces that face the rear are masked when you paint leaving the clear so you can have some rear vision.

Going to order mine shortly.

The louvers look great. I decided these were my next mod a while ago and now I'm just waiting for the mod coffee can to fill up with enough $ to order.
Wing ... have you seen the Shelby @ the Dorion dealership on Gratiot? Stopped by there today to stare. Nice.

Puck, no I didn't see the Shelby (GT or 500?) but thanks for the excuse to take my baby for a little cruise.

When you get your louvers do you plan on installing them yourself? I've looked over the install instructions and it doesn't look too bad. The interior removal has me a little apprehensive though.

Maybe it would help people understand if I posted a pre-painted picture... that way they can see the material a little better.

Thank Marine, Semper Fi

Here is a picture of under the hood. This car is my daily driver, put about 300 miles of highway driving on it every week.

Man, thanks for posting the before shot. This should answer some questions.

Oh, by the way, dont ditch the glass panels that you remove. The body shop told me that they cost about $200 each. I have mine wrapped in the finest Italian wool and stored in a cedar chest that has been taken to a well guarded, fire proof undergroud bunker located in the Nevada desert. They should be safe there.

Guys check out this thread about these louvers. I am impressed how strong they are! Not only that, but I am convinced they are the best looking louvers out there!
