since i cant afford to have my stripes painted, i'm going to put some vinyls on. do i have to worry about the paint being darker if i decide to remove the stripes later?

If the car sits out in the sun a lot to where the paint will fade, then absolutely

Only if you take your car out in the sun. Of course it will. Every minute in the sun fades the paint, and the stripes prevent the sun from reaching the paint. I have vinyl stripes, and I consider them to be permanent. Now, if you didn't like them and removed them after a few weeks, it would probably be okay.
