Default Kenne Bell Intercooled - Install Time

I just thinned out my wallet and purchased a Kenne Bell interecooled s/c. If there is anyone here that has completed an install on an 05 mustang gt I would really appreciate an idea of how long it took you to install it. I've got 4 guys that plan on working on it this Sunday 2 of which are very good mechanics and I'm really hoping to complete it in 1 day. Also any hints would be very helpful and appreciated.

I can't wait to get it on, I'm so pumped up for the power.

Well a supercharger is easier than a Turbo but it took me 12 hours to put my turbo in by myself.

The shop that installed mine took 2 full days for the install. They routed all the wiring back through the factory wiring harness, installed the boost-a-pump in the trunk, and routed the air intake behind the front bumper. Pretty intense install, and they did a very complete and professional job. You also have to relocate the windshield washer fluid resevoir and the ECU.

I did mine by myself in 2 1/2 days. I think about 27 hours total. That includes running fake braided hose sleeves, painting my fuel rails, changing spark plugs, and rerouting wires a little bit better than the instructions say and retaping the harnesses fully. Oh yeah, tapping in the Raptor shift light to one of the plug coils and integrating into the harness. The hardest part for me was unhooking the heater core hoses on the firewall. For some reason it really sucked for me! The infamous "bolt from hell" on the back of the passenger head was not too bad in comparison.

Good luck!

I spoke to my shop about this who has done many of them. Figure 16hrs if you don't know what you're doing, 12 hrs if you do and 8 hrs if you've done 5 or 6 before.
