I had the Redlines... got them before I knew what I was doing... but your right... if you are going to be doing anyting in the engine bay, like cleaning, they do get in the way... finally got tired for them and switched to the MRT's... completely out of the way... and they don't require any drilling!
No drilling you say? How do they attach?

Not only don't I notice the brackets, I don't even notice the hood struts, lol.
All I see is the motor, with no obstructions.
Happy as an Ethipoian downhill of a donut stampede.

I just put the CDC struts on Thursday and I love them. At some point I may paint them to match if I can find some Tungsten Grey spray paint. The install was simple. I'm leaving the hood prop on for now for those times when it's really windy...don't really like the hood being pushed back and forth a lot, not saying it'll fall down or anything but the prop will hold it nice and firm just in case.

Same here and I have a fiberglass hood with no problems on fitment and nothing is loose and works great. I like the look better with the redlines over the MRT........as Howarmat states it's JMO

I have the redlines and they were easy to install, even with the drilling. Cant say that they have gotten in the way but I guess I can see how it is possible. I like the looks of them over the MRT but that is only my opinion.
