Difference between tunes

Can anyone inform me on the differences between a tune setup for an automatic and manual car? If someone sold me a tuner with automatic tunes on it, would I be able to convert them myself for use on my 5 speed?

There are differences that make them work for each tranny, therefore you cant use an auto tune with a manual.
